Pasta Patties

Bored of regular pasta preparation! Pasta patties give new dimension to pasta cooking. Enjoy tasty crispy patties with pasta over hot cuppa of tea.
Pasta Patties
Ingredients
For Patties
Potatoes 250 gms, boiled, peeled and mashed
Sweet potatoes 250 gms, boiled, peeled and mashed
Garlic paste 1 tsp
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Fresh coriander leaves (dhania leaves) 2 tbsp
Corn flour 4-5 tbsp
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
For the Pasta
Pasta 2 cups, boiled
Tomatoes 4, pureed
Milk 1 cup
Corn flour 1 tbsp
Onion 1, large, finely chopped
Tomato sauce 3 tbsp
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder (lal mirch powder) 2 tsp
Butter 2 tbsp
For Garnishing
Onion rings few
Red chilli powder (lal mirch powder) 1 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Method
Patties Preparation
Mix all the ingredients of patties, shape it into oval and flatten them and deep fry in hot oil. Remove excess oil in absorbent paper.
Pasta Preparation
In a bowl mix, tomato puree, milk, corn flour and tomato sauce. Heat butter on a pan, add onions and sauté them. Add the mix prepared, salt and red chilli powder (lal mirch powder). Let it cook till the gravy thickens. To this add the cooked pasta.
Arrange the patties around the pasta on pan, rub the onion rings with salt and red chilli powder (lal mirch powder) and lemon juice. Serve hot with chutneys.
