Mushrooms in Yoghurt / Dahi Mushrooms

Ingredients
Mushrooms 200 gms
Caraway seeds (ajwain) 1 tsp, crushed
Oil 2 tsp
Onions 2, finely chopped
Ginger 1” long, finely chopped
Red chilli powder (lal mirch powder) ¾ tsp
Green chillies 2, finely chopped
Coriander powder (dhania powder) 1 tsp
Fresh curd/yoghurt (dahi) ¾ cup
Garam masala ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking
Water for cooking
Method
Clean and wash the mushrooms thoroughly and cut it into half. Heat oil in a pan, add the caraway seeds (ajwain), and now add the onions, green chillies and ginger. Cook till they turn light brown, now add the mushrooms and stir. Add water if needed and cover the lid and cook till the mushrooms are tender, stir occasionally. Add red chilli powder (lal mirch powder) and coriander powder (dhania powder). Beat the curd (dahi), garam masala and salt and add to it. Cook till the curd dries up and the mushrooms well coated with the gravy, serve hot with chapattis.
